A piano, a story, and two dulcet voices comprise the foundation of Shoot the Cricket, the alternative-pop brainchild of Jenni and Liesel Bognar.
Born into a military family, the sisters began their lives in Texas and moved around the country more than a dozen times until they finally settled in Virginia, where they are currently based. In the thick of it all, the Bognar sisters found themselves a permanent home in the warm embrace of music.

At times, it can be surreal to think that Shoot the Cricket got their start on YouTube, where they would perform song covers in front of a webcam in their bedroom and watch the views and likes pour in thereafter. While their sound has since greatly evolved, one thing remains constant: their masterful ability to fuse their classical music background with pop music, which in turn creates unique musical masterpieces that take the listener on an upbeat journey through the daily hustle and bustle of life.

Carter, American Idol Season 7 finalist Jason Castro, and earned the praise of The Click Five frontman Kyle Patrick for their renditions of his -year hiatus, things are coming up roses once again for the duo as they gear up for the late-2018 release of their sophomore EP, which is produced by Austin Bello of Forever The Sickest Kids fame.
Their new record includes five tracks Stars By adding more honesty to their songwriting and working closely with Bello to craft their art, Shoot the Cricket are debuting a new sophisticated sound that serves to hook, engage, and kindle a range of emotions within the listener as wide as their musical range.
