Noelle Micarelli is only 23, but she's making an immediate impact with her quality songwriting and humble performing presence. Her well crafted songs and lyrics reward the listener with a magical world of characters, images and stories.
Music is in Noelle's genes - her father is a professional musician, and brother Ray is one-half of the New Orleans indie-rock duo Video Age. Growing up in Massachusetts and majoring in drama at Hampshire college, Noelle wrote and performed a one-person show as her senior thesis, with an original score of five songs Inspired by her new-found love of the Appalachian mountain dulcimer, the songs kept flowing after graduation.
Some of Noelle's many songwriting influences are Sufjan Steves, Suzanne Vega, Anais Mitchell and Joanna Newsom. Noelle loves Shakespeare, history, comic books, languages, poetry, and anything to do with with superheroes. She worked with producer Chris Plante on her newly-released first EP "Field Notes From Another Place."
