Realizing their talents at home, brothers Zech and Eze Walters looked to friend, Bowen Purcell, to provide the driving beat behind their tales of life, love and lemons to form Woodlock. The trio encompass a range of genre’s to create idyllic, thoughtful folk-pop music. After only a short stint of writing and playing the trio purchased a caravan, painted it up, somehow got it registered and decided to go on an adventure up and down the east of coast of Australia taking their music with them, to the streets of both rural and capital cities. After captivating crowds on the street, they found themselves in a recording studio on the sunny coast, and before they knew it they had an EP in their hands.
Now based in the Melbourne, the Woodlock boys have continued to mesmerize crowds through their performances. After gaining some great recognition and creating a strong following from tirelessly busking at every corner of the Melbourne CBD, Woodlock are starting to take their sounds from the streets to the stage.
Since the release, Woodlock have appeared on Balcony TV, Live on Bowen and also a cameo at the MCG for the fundraiser 'Sleep at the G'. After a run of shows up the east coast more recently and playing in some of Melbourne's best live venues that include The Prince Of Wales and The John Curtin there is nothing but excitement and hype building around these three country boys!
Lyrics:Caught in the sky Im lost in silver Caught in the sky I found my gold The lover came in on the river Is this the one that Ill hold close? In the middle of the night, lights, they filled the sky Hands first met that day on the 4th of July Bring me up go bring me home Ill sail the seas for the one I love most As the sun rose up the town let loose their cry Smoke billowed out from the fire last night Wake me up girl before you go For a little longer Ill hold you close Caught in the sky Im lost in silver Caught in the sky I found my gold Passion came but will it whither Is this the love Im searching for? All memories like tides ebb and flow Taylor sings out the old love song My darlings come her love wont go Tell the tales of the ones before Caught in the sky Im lost in silver Caught in the sky I found my gold All stood tall as love was witnessed Shes the one that I hold close And here I built my heart her home And here time has taken its toll And here I buried her in the ground And there I followed her
Lyrics:Painting a picture of us now Forever forgive 'Cause Little Missy Misery set foot in the ocean But never the sea I'll bury her under the ground Next to the old lemon tree For the fruits have grown sour and bitter That no one would eat Call her back and call myself a freak Bend the rules so I can show her home Shave my head and change the way i think of The way I feel The way I feel The way i feel Call to her heart I will offer my shield The sour has turned into sweet Let not the wheat in this garden grow tall For they will choke the lemon tree Months will go on like sand to stone maybe I'll grow old Maybe I won't Call her back and call myself a freak Bend the rules so I can show her home Shave my head and change the way i think of The way I feel The way I feel The way I feel Call to her heart I will offer my shield The sour has turned into sweet Let not the wheat in this garden grow tall For they will choke the lemon tree
Lyrics:You better run boy time to let her go We got to leave and let the city burn Dont look behind dont let your pace slow down And in the harbour well make this turn Raise the sails As the wind blows toward the sun Head down and run Love is waiting in anothers eyes But your were lost boy cause you were blind Captivated by when you last saw The way her eyes said she despised you more You may have failed Shes gone and wont return Your lessons learned Your lessons learned Ooooh have we been here before Cave the stairs dont you let her go Hold her close try to keep her warm But she starts to burn
Lyrics:She was American honey blonde Perfect reflection of Venus the god of love No comparison Pour a little wine my love Why don't you pour a little wine She was American honey blonde Lost direction As she fell to me from the stars First connection Little light in my arms Who's this little light Ooooh she was carved in stone Ooooh but more than blood and bone Ooooh I wrote a thousand songs But I'm still here On my own
Lyrics:Gone and run No i have faith my son You can rest here in my arms You are more Know your place You were not made a mistake No one could ever replace you Or who you are Some way look to your brother Behave maybe you covet their hearts mistakes They're just mistakes Let it go As you go Know you are not alone My strength alone Will hold you As you go Know you are not alone My strength alone Will hold you Some way look to your brother Behave maybe you covet their hearts mistakes They're just mistakes We have grown from each other Our blood will keep us as kin My brother My brother
